SandRidge Energy engages in exploration and production activities in shallow, conventional, domestic on-shore oil basins – primarily in the Permian Basin and the Mid-Continent region, including northern Oklahoma and southern Kansas. Other operational areas include West Texas, the Gulf Coast and the Gulf of Mexico.

The Company owns over 200,000 acres of leasehold primarily in the Central Basin Platform of the Texas Permian Basin, where approximately 7,900 potential future drilling locations have been identified. SandRidge leasehold in the Mid-Continent region is greater than 900,000 acres, with more than 4,000 potential horizontal Mississippian locations identified.
