SandRidge Energy

SandRidge Energy engages in exploration and production activities in proven, domestic oil and natural gas basins – primarily in the Permian Basin and West Texas Overthrust regions. Other operational areas include Western Oklahoma, East Texas, the Texas Gulf Coast and the Gulf of Mexico.

Our 130,000 acres of leasehold in the Central Basin Platform of the Permian Basin enables us to expand our successful Clear Fork and San Andres drilling programs. Thanks to attractive oil prices and low drilling costs, the Clear Fork and the San Andres currently generate the company’s highest return on invested capital.

The Century Plant CO2 treating facility, located near our Piñon Field within the West Texas Overthrust, is set to open in 2010 and will significantly increase the company’s gas treating capacity to remove CO2. The plant will allow SandRidge to increase drilling in our primary Piñon Field target, the Warwick Thrust – a prolific natural gas zone that also contains high levels of CO2.

With an enviable base to develop oil in the Central Basin Platform, natural gas in the Piñon Field, and explore for new gas fields in the West Texas Overthrust, SandRidge is able to maximize value creation by running an appropriate number of rigs in either our oil or natural gas plays.
